Privacy Policy — Prayer Lab
Effective date: 22 September 2026 · Koallabs
Prayer Lab is a private prayer journal for iOS. This policy explains what data is and isn't handled when you use it.
Data the app collects
The app itself collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics of our own. Your prayers, entries, outcomes, check-ins, thanksgivings, tags and settings are stored only on your device. Nothing you write is sent to us, and it is never analysed by us or by any third party. The Bible text is bundled inside the app, so reading scripture makes no network request. The app's features work fully offline.
iCloud sync (Prayer Lab Pro)
If you buy Prayer Lab Pro and turn on "Sync with iCloud", the app copies your journal files into your own iCloud account so that your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account can show the same journal. That copy travels between your devices through Apple's iCloud service and is stored in a private area of your iCloud storage that only your devices can read. We have no access to it. Sync is off by default, and turning it off stops the copying; the copy already in your iCloud storage remains until you remove it through your device's iCloud settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Reminders
Prayer reminders are optional. If you set one, the app asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder on your device itself. There is no push server, and no information about your reminders leaves your device. You can change or remove reminders, or withdraw the permission in iOS Settings, at any time.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may process device information such as your IP address, device identifiers (for example the advertising ID), and coarse location derived from IP. We do not receive or store this data ourselves, and nothing from your journal is used to choose ads.
The app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, ads are still shown but Google is not permitted to use your device's advertising identifier for tracking. In regions where consent is required, the app also asks for your advertising choices before any ad is shown, and you can change them later under Settings → Privacy options. You can also reset or limit ad personalisation in your device settings at any time.
How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and policies.google.com/privacy.
Purchases
The one-time Prayer Lab Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. After the purchase, the app shows no ads and no ad-related data processing by Google occurs.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
