Introduction
NARRATiV, an AI-powered Vlogging Camera ("the App") is developed by Koallabs ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Testing NARRATiV
The App is currently in development and you have agreed to conduct user testing on our behalf.
- Testing data will include diagnostics and summary information from your use of the App including:
- Application features used
- Geolocation data
- Sensor data
- POIs Identified
- Any errors or exceptions encountered
- Diagnostic and summary information will be used for the purpose of improving The App and deleted afterwards.
- We do not collect your name or address.
Phone and Internet
- iPhone 12 and above
- Internet connection in order for The App to look-up Places of Interest, and create narrative.
Your Obligations
- Do not disclose details about NARRATiV while it is in early test phases
- Use the app and advise us of any challenges, including bugs or failures,
Device Features Used
Camera and Microphone
- What: Access to the Camera(s) and Microphone(s) on your device
- Why: Core functionality - the App is a video recording tool
- Storage: All recordings are stored locally on your device
Device Sensors
- What: Compass heading, accelerometer, and gyroscope data
- Why: To accurately position point-of-interest markers on the camera preview
- Storage: Sensor data is stored locally with your video recordings
Location Data
- What: GPS coordinates while using the App
- Why: To identify nearby points of interest (landmarks, attractions) and display them on your video
- Storage: Location data is stored locally in video metadata files on your device
Photos Library Access
- What: Ability to save exported videos to your photo library
- Why: So you can share and use your exported videos
- Storage: Videos you export are saved to your device's Photos app
Third-Party Services
The App relies on a number of third party APIs to perform its functions, including:
Google Places API
- Purpose: To find nearby tourist attractions and landmarks based on your location
- Data Shared: Your approximate location (GPS coordinates)

Anthropic Claude API
- Purpose: To generate AI narration scripts about visible landmarks
- Data Shared: Names and descriptions of nearby points of interest
- Note: Your location and personal information are NOT sent to this service

Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: All your videos, recordings, and metadata are stored locally on your device
- No Cloud Upload: We do not upload your videos or personal data to any servers
- No Account Required: The App does not require user registration or accounts
- Your Control: You can delete any video and its associated data at any time through the App
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact information
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all data stored by the App on your device
- Delete: Remove any videos and associated metadata at any time
- Revoke Permissions: Disable camera, microphone, or location access in your device settings
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
